Howe left purring at cherries display
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe described some of his side's football as "great stuff" after a thrilling 5-3 FA Cup win over Tranmere.Josh McQuoid struck a hat-trick for the Cherries, who cruised into a 3-0 lead in this first-round tie, with further goals from Marc Pugh and Liam Feeney, while Rovers fought back to briefly level the game through Aaron Cresswell, Ian Goodison and Ian Thomas-Moore.Howe said: "It was a game for the neutrals rather than the managers, for sure. It was a classic FA Cup game, it was very exciting, end-to-end football."In the first 10 minutes we were fantastic, we played some great stuff and I couldn't really ask for any more from the players."Josh (McQuoid) and Marc (Pugh) have scored a pair of fantastic goals and that set us on our way. But we then conceded avoidable goals and the game changed very quickly."To be at 3-3 after leading 3-0 is tough mentally and the players had to show some resilience, which thankfully they did. There are obviously things to work on defensively, but all in all we have to take the positives because we have won a good game of football 5-3."
