Hayter talks to Rovers

Bournemouth striker James Hayter is in talks with Doncaster Rovers over a potential summer move north.

The 28-year-old has been with the Cherries for more than a decade, scoring 107 goals in just over 400 first-team appearances for the Dean Court outfit.

Confirming his club's approach, Rovers chairman John Ryan said: "This shows our intentions for the new season and the ambition we as a club have.

"The directors and I are backing Sean O'Driscoll to give him the resources he needs to build a team to challenge at the top.

"James will add to the firepower here at the club alongside Paul Heffernan and the other strikers, having scored over 50 goals in three seasons in this division."
