Bournemouth midfielder Steven Foley has been told to see a neurosurgeon in a bid to solve his troublesome back injury.
The 21-year-old, who has been sidelined since December, broke down while jogging last month and will not be able to take part in pre-season training.
Cherries physio Steve Hard told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: "He's fine doing everyday stuff.
"When I assessed him, I couldn't reproduce any of his symptoms and he only feels it when he starts to jog.
"The discomfort is brought on by impact work so we'll see the specialist as planned and take it from there."
