Demin's Endorsement Of Howe Tindall
The return of Howe and Tindall, coupled with the upturn in form, has delighted the Cherries hierarchy.
It will come as no surprise that the marked improvement in form has been greeted with delight by the Cherries board, with Eddie Mitchell being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "Myself and Max have had two or three meetings with Eddie and Jason now and we have got on fine. We are all in the same boat and I think we can be successful – no problem. He is very pleased with the results and he is impressed with the way they have been able to bring better results to the club. When he doesn’t go to the away games or when he is out of the country, it is a great relief for me to phone him and tell him we have scored or won a game. It is a lot easier than having to tell him we have lost. We are all pleased all round. You gain experience with age but then, sometimes, you can use that experience as a negative and you can be too cautious. But young ideas are always refreshing and football is a young man’s game. The communication skills might be better by using somebody younger. It has got a lot of advantages. A natural ability to look after and galvanise players doesn’t have to come from an older person and Eddie has proved that. I think it is great for the game to see young managers".
