Connell touched by players reaction

The striker has been plagued by injuries and personal problems since his move from Brentford last year, but was on the scoresheet in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win against Yeovil on Tuesday night. "It was very emotional. My team-mates surrounded me and said some touching things," Connell told the Bournemouth Echo. "Some of the comments brought a tear to my eye. It was very heart-warming and just shows what a great bunch of lads we've got here."
