Bournemouth have landed Plymouth Argyle midfielder Luke Summerfield on loan.

The 19-year-old has made 26 appearances for the Pilgrims this season but has been allowed to move to Dean Court until the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, the Cherries have also extended the loan stay of Southampton forward David McGoldrick for a second month.

The teenage forward has netted twice in his six appearances for the League One club.

"David has helped us win three games and hopefully he can go on to help us win some more," said Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond.

"You can never have too many good players."
