    Cherries snare loanee Symes

    14 Nov 2008 - 11:06:13

Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn has promised that there will be more new arrivals at Dean Court after landing Shrewsbury Town striker Michael Symes on a month's loan.

The 25-year-old former Everton trainee, who has scored 18 goals in 75 games for the Shrews, has also had loan spells with Crewe Alexandra, Macclesfield Town and Stockport County in the past.

Quinn told the Bournemouth Echo: "He's six foot three so he's a big lad - a big striker - and there's not too many of those about.

"I've seen him play and he's decent in the air and can hold the ball up.

"He's not going to run over the top, but he's got a decent pedigree and hopefully he'll come in and do a good job.

"I'm still looking for more players though. It's a difficult one because everyone's after strikers.

"One lad I spoke to had three or four clubs in for him, so that's what we've got to deal with."
