Cherries move for Sappleton

Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond has added Leicester City striker Ricky Sappleton to his ranks on a month's loan.

The 18-year-old Jamaica-born forward has made just one first-team appearance for the Foxes but is hoping to emulate the impact made by fellow Leicester youngster Max Gradel, who impressed while on loan with the Cherries last term.

"Maxi has told me a lot about Bournemouth," Sappleton told the club's official website.

"He said they like to play good football and emphasised how well everyone from the manager to the fans treated him during his time here.

"If I can achieve just half of what Maxi did I know I'll be doing well."
