Cherries close in on Sturrock

Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn is on the verge of completing a deal to bring Swindon Town striker Blair Sturrock to Dean Court on a one-month loan arrangement.

The 27-year-old impressed Quinn during the Cherries' reserve team clash with Cheltenham Town's second string.

Former Hereford United forward Trevor Benjamin also played in the game as a trialist.

Meanwhile, Quinn hopes to extend Charlton Athletic teenager Scott Wagstaff's loan stay at the club for two more months.

The 18-year-old defender has made six appearances for the Cherries during his first month with the club.
