Cherries: Howe fully focused on Terriers test

EDDIE Howe insists he is fully focused on Cherries' trip to Huddersfield tomorrow and admits the Galpharm Stadium will provide his men with a stern test. The Cherries boss has hit the headlines this week after being ranked alongside the likes of Gianfranco Zola at the top of the betting lists for the manager's job at Southampton. Alan Pardew was sacked by Cherries' League One rivals on Monday and the Hampshire outfit are now on the look-out for a replacement, with Howe appearing among the bookmakers' frontrunners. Howe and assistant Jason Tindall, who are under contract to Cherries at least until 2013, have built a big reputation since taking charge at Dean Court 20 months ago, and have been linked with other vacancies in the past. But, previewing Cherries' upcoming visit to one of the third tier's most fancied sides, Howe stressed his attentions remained solely on preparing his men for their next clash. He said: Huddersfield away tomorrow is my only focus. It's a tough place to go and a difficult place to get a positive result, so Jason and I and the team's focus is on that game, and we are preparing normally for that game. It's another really good test for us and another good gauge to see how far we've come and how competitive we're going to be. We're excited about the prospect of going there it's always a good place to play. It's a great stadium so it's all set up to be another good game. They play a very attacking style so it should be a great game for the neutral. I just hope there are not as many goals as there were last week!
