Championship Review - Sept 28th

Here's our look at the weekend action around the Championship.
Queens Park Rangers lead the way after the managed to see off Middlesbrough at Loftus Road as Barton (4th min) and an Austin penalty (35th min) sealed the points. Queens Park Rangers 1st, Middlesbrough 18th.
Burnley are in hot persuit at the moment following a decent 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic at Turf Moor. Goals from Ings (38th min) and a brace from Vokes (67th & 86th mins) sealed the points. Burnley 2nd, Charlton Athletic 20th.
A Nugent brace (50th & 62nd mins) for Leicester City at the King Power Stadium proved to be enough to see off Barnsley. Scotland bagged a consolation for the Yorkshire side in the 73rd minute. Leicester City 3rd, Barnsley 24th.
Watford managed to see off Wigan Athletic at Vicarage Road with a solitary Battocchio goal in the 82nd minute. Watford 4th, Wigan Athletic 13th.
Local bragging rights in the East Midlands go to Nottingham Forest this evening who saw of their near neighbours, Derby County 1-0 at the City Ground. Hobbs scored the only goal of the game in the 41st minute to seal victory. The win also resulted in Nigel Clough beign sacked as Rams manager. Nottingham Forest 5th, Derby County 14th.
Reading maintained their push at the top end of the table with a 2-0 win over Birmingham City at the Madjeski Stadium. A brace for Guthrie in the 32nd and 75th minutes sealed the win to keep the Royals in the play-off places. Reading 6th, Birmingham City 19th.
Huddersfield Town and Blackpool came face to face at the John Smiths Stadium on Friday evening, with a 1-1 draw being the result. Fuller gave the Tangerines the lead in the 27th minute, with Vaughan levelling in the 62nd minute. Huddersfield Town 8th, Blackpool 7th.
A brace from McGoldrick (20th & 24th mins) proved to be enough for Ipswich Town to claim the points from Brighton & Hove Albion at Portman Road. Ipswich Town 9th, Brighton & Hove Albion 12th.
Blackburn Rovers managed to record their first win on the road this season with a comfortable 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court. A Rhodes brace (10th & 41st min pen) plus a Best strike in the 24th minute killed the game off before the Cherries were reduced to 10-men early in the second period. A Fraser goal in the 74th proved to be nothing more than a consolation. AFC Bournemouth 10th, Blackburn Rovers 11th.
Millwall are having a revival after a poor start to the season, with their latest success coming at The Den against Leeds United. Goals from Woolford (65th min) and Malone (76th min) sealed the points. Millwall 16th, Leeds United 15th.
Local Yorkshire bragging rights go to Doncaster Rovers this evening who piled on the misery for Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough as Macheda bagged the only goal in the 71st minute. Sheffield Wednesday 22nd, Doncaster Rovers 17th.
Was a relegation 6-pointer played out at The Reebok as Bolton Wanderers played Yeovil Town? Upson gave the Glovers the lead in the 79th minute, only for Baptiste to pop up with a 91st minute leveller to deny the Somerset side a famous victory. Bolton Wanderers 23rd, Yeovil Town 21st.
