Build For 2012/13
Darryl Flahavan talks about the final few matches and looks ahead to next season.
With the season over for the Cherries as far as promotion/play-offs or relegation is concerned, goal keeper, Darryl Flahavan speaks about the end of the current season and how that should be carried forward in to next season, being quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "Let's be honest we haven't got anything to play for, but we have three games left and want to win all of them. At this club we want to set standards, push for the top six and get into the Championship. This season has been a learning curve for all of us and we will look back on it, take the positive and negatives and work on them for next season. I've played in teams that have just seen the season out and had poor finishes, and it carries on into the next season. If we can win the last three games we can finish on a high and take it into next season. We wanted to finish the season as strongly as we could starting at Bury. We knew it would be a tough game, but to go down 1-0 in a game where we thought we should have got something from was disappointing. We have to move on and put in the hard work on the training pitch and put it right on Saturday. I said in the dressing room after the game that there have been too many games like that this season, and if we want to do anything next season we need to come away from games like Saturday with something. The table doesn't lie and we haven't scored enough goals, it's simple as that. I'm not singling anyone out, or any of the forwards, we score goals as a team and concede as a team. Hopefully we can improve on that next season, and I'm sure the lads here will work hard to make it happen".
