Bond set for Cherries stay

Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond is poised to extend his contract at Dean Court after the club retained their League One status. Bond replaced Sean O'Driscoll in October and initially agreed a season-long contract with the Cherries. But, following their successful bid to avoid relegation, club owners Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly want him to remain at the helm. "I am delighted to announce Kevin will continue next season and contract extensions will commence as a priority," Mostyn told the Bournemouth Echo. "We've had a number of positive meetings in the past week, during which time we discussed the way forward."
