Big Freeze: What's on and what's off...
Published : 03 Dec 2010 14:16:42Rss feed
Cherries' match at Bristol Rovers tomorrow is the subject of a pitch inspection with the Big Freeze hitting sporting schedules. Referee Graham Salisbury will be at the Memorial Stadium at 9.30am to judge whether the League One clash can go ahead. The Arctic weather has caused widespread disruption across the country and Cherries have seen their usual routine interrupted by the snow. Eddie Howe's men were unable to train yesterday but continued their pre-match preparations by braving the sub-zero conditions at Dean Court today. The result of tomorrow's pitch inspection will be available on bristolrovers.co.uk. Elsewhere, the local footballing schedule has been hit hard. Games postponed include Bournemouth Poppies' FA Vase match at Willand Rovers, Poole Town's home tie against Wantage and Cherries under-18s' home meeting with Oxford United. The Wessex League has called off all its fixtures this weekend. Verwood Town's FA Vase clash with Torpoint will be the subject of a Saturday morning pitch inspection, while a decision on Wimborne Town's Zamaretto Division One match at home to Taunton Town is due at 10am tomorrow. A 9am pitch inspection is planned for Bashley's Zamaretto Premier clash against Cirencester at the Recreation Ground.
