April 5 Bristol Rovers 1-0 AFC Bournemouth Att: 6691 (886 away fans)

The Cherries did everything BUT score at the Memorial Ground as the run without a win is extended to 6 matches. The Cherries can't even buy a goal (or a win) at the moment as the run without a win is extended to a damaging 6-matches. For all of their pressure, possession and chances, the Cherries did everything but score at The Memorial Ground. Chances cleared off the line, just wide, just over or straight at the keeper ...... it simply wasn't to be for the Cherries. The deciding goal came in the 33rd minute when Smith was adjudged to have fouled Gavin Williams. Hughes scored from the penalty spot. The only other chance Rovers created saw a free kick smacked against the cross bar. With results elsewhere going against the Cherries this evening, this was a damaging defeat. Full match report to follow ............ AFCB: Jalal, Smith, Cooper, Pearce, Purches, Feeney, Hollands, Robinson, Pugh, Fletcher, IngsSubs: Cummings, Williamson, Ater, Partingon, Lovell, McDermott (for Smith, 70 mins), Dalla Valle (for Ings, 82 mins)
