Dons Jolley after late leveller

Substitute Christian Jolley's last-gasp equaliser ended Crewe's four-game winning run at home and earned AFC Wimbledon a 3-3 draw at Gresty Road.

First-half goals from Byron Moore, Nick Powell and Greg Pearson had cancelled out Billy Knott's early opener for the Dons and put Alex in the driving seat.

Ashley Westwood missed a penalty for Crewe before Sammy Moore struck to give the visitors hope with nine minutes to go. Jolley then nodded in an unlikely equaliser in injury time.

The Dons took a seventh-minute lead when Knott's speculative strike from the edge of the box found the net via a deflection. But Crewe were level within three minutes when Moore unleashed a 25-yard rocket which went through the arms of goalkeeper Seb Brown.

Two minutes later Alex were in front as Luke Murphy's pinpoint ball allowed Powell to beat the Don's offside trap and the young striker despatched a perfect finish low into the far corner. Pearson extended the lead, holding off Mat Michel-King to volley home with 31 minutes gone.

Powell then headed wide from close range before Moore spurned a chance from two yards out after beating Brown to Danny Shelley's cross. Shelley went close with two free-kicks before a neat one-two between Jack Midson and Jason Euell finally fashioned the visitors a chance which the latter drilled straight at Phillips.

Alex should have been out of sight when Jamie Stuart brought down Powell in the box but Westwood's tame spot-kick was easily saved by Brown.

Moore scored a stunning 30-yard strike to offer the visitors hope and Jolley headed Midson's cross over Phillips to complete the comeback.
