Beere only worry for Dons

Teenage midfielder Tom Beere is AFC Wimbledon's only injury doubt ahead of the visit of Tranmere.

Beere has returned to training after a hamstring problem but suffered a setback when he cut his toe, although manager Neal Ardley expects him to be available.

Ardley otherwise has a full-strength squad to choose from and could stick with the side held 0-0 by Plymouth on Tuesday night.

Adebayo Akinfenwa and Matt Tubbs, who have scored 16 goals between them this season, are set to continue up front despite drawing a blank in their last two matches.

Liam Ridehalgh could make his season bow for Tranmere.

The full-back sustained a pre-season ankle injury and is yet to appear for a side currently bottom of Sky Bet League Two, but new boss Micky Adams expects him to be "in the equation".

Fellow defender Danny Woodards has returned to training from a foot injury, although this fixture may come too soon for him.

Left-back Ben Davies is back at Preston following the expiration of his loan spell, midfielder Jason Koumas remains out with a groin strain while Cole Stockton (pelvis) and Matt Hill (Achilles) are missing too.
