Neal Ardley welcomes back Andy Barcham after speedy recovery

Winger Andy Barcham could make his first AFC Wimbledon appearance in almost two months in the League Two clash with Stevenage.

The 28-year-old has not featured since damaging knee ligaments in the 5-2 loss to Morecambe on October 17, but has returned to full training this week.

The former Portsmouth midfielder feared he had broken his leg in a nasty challenge, but has been able to recover far more quickly than initially anticipated.

Manager Neal Ardley must now decide whether to pitch Barcham back in as Wimbledon seek their first win in six matches at Kingsmeadow this weekend.

Striker Jamille Matt is available again for visiting Stevenage after being cup tied.

He missed the FA Cup loss at Huish Park, so Armand Gnanduillett, who has extended his loan from Chesterfield, started.

However Fraser Franks is a major doubt after suffering a knee injury at Yeovil, with Jamie McCombe coming on in his place and likely to start should Franks fail in his fitness bid.

Midfielder Dean Parrett could return to the squad after recovering from a hamstring problem, but Steven Schumacher is long-term injury victim with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
