Striker poised for Dons return
AFC Wimbledon captain Alan Bennett could return for the Boxing Day visit of Southend.
Defender Bennett was due to have a fitness test on his injured ankle ahead of Saturday's clash with Newport, but the match was postponed due to the weather giving him a few extra days to get fully fit.
Midfielder Harry Pell will miss out again with a knee injury but Sammy Moore is set to step into the centre after serving a one-match ban.
Defender Will Antwi (hip) and winger Chris Arthur (ankle) are back in training and could return in January while striker Charlie Strutton is recovering from a broken leg.
Luke Prosser is a concern for Southend.
The centre-back, having made a superb double goal-line clearance, was forced off at half-time in Friday night's 1-1 draw against Rochdale after sustaining a bout of concussion.
Should Prosser be deemed not ready to face the Dons then Mark Phillips, who came on in his place at the interval, is likely to start.
Long-term absentee Julian Bennett remains the only other player in the treatment room as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee injury.
