Dons to check on Frampton

AFC Wimbledon will check on Andy Frampton ahead of the visit of Oxford.

Defender Frampton has missed the last three matches with a back injury but is close to returning.

If Frampton does not make it boss Neal Ardley could turn to fellow centre-half Will Antwi, who has yet to make an appearance this season following hernia surgery but was named on the bench for Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Hartlepool.

Striker Charlie Sheringham and winger Chris Arthur remain on the sidelines with ankle injuries.

Oxford will be without Dave Kitson when they make the trip as the former Reading striker serves his second suspension of the season.

The 33-year-old saw red in the dying minutes of their 0-0 draw with Exeter on Tuesday night for his second yellow card of the evening (his seventh of the campaign) which means he will be unavailable to face the Dons.

The U's were without Johnny Mullins (ankle) and Alfie Potter (hamstring) against the Grecians and the pair will be missing once more.

Deane Smalley was also unavailable in midweek due to a knee injury he picked up in the warm up before the 0-0 draw with Accrington and he is touch and go to make it.
