Alexander could return

Gary Alexander should be back in the AFC Wimbledon starting line-up for the must-win clash with Fleetwood.

The experienced striker returned as a late substitute in the 2-2 draw at Gillingham last weekend after shaking off an ankle injury.

Midfielder Peter Sweeney has resumed running after eight weeks out with a fractured metatarsal, but his return to fitness will come just too late.

Full-back Jim Fenlon has also stepped up his training following two months on the sidelines with a prolapsed disc in his lower back, but he will not be involved either.

The Dons will kick-off in the bottom two but know a victory will secure their survival as fellow relegation strugglers Dagenham and York face each other.

Fleetwood remain without top scorer Jon Parkin.

The striker has failed to overcome a chest infection and will play no part in the Cod Army's final game of the campaign.

Graham Alexander is also likely to be without Dean Howell and Youl Mawene.

Full-back Howell has trained following a knee problem but is unlikely to make the matchday squad, while defender Mawene is definitely out with a foot injury.

Fleetwood have lost their last three games and Alexander could make changes as he looks to end the season with a win.

Andy Mangan struck at Chesterfield after coming off the bench and could be handed a start while Nathan Pond, Jean-Michel Fontaine and Barry Nicholson are pushing for inclusion.
