Wimbledon keeper Kelle Roos overcomes side strain ahead of Crawley's visit

Goalkeeper Kelle Roos has overcome a side strain in time for Wimbledon's League Two home clash with Crawley on Saturday.

Derby loanee Roos was forced to sit out training earlier this week but was passed fit on Thursday afternoon.

The 23-year-old Dutchman shook off a back problem before last weekend's 2-1 win at Plymouth, and has managed to fight back to fitness again.

Connor Smith and Will Nightingale will be hoping to force their way into boss Neal Ardley's squad after both recently recovered from injury issues.

Crawley will be without injured strikers Matt Harrold and Liam McAlinden as they look to avoid a fourth straight loss.

Harrold is set to miss the rest of the campaign after limping out of the 5-1 defeat by Oxford last weekend with a knee problem which will require surgery, while McAlinden, on loan from Wolves, has a hamstring injury.

Striker Lee Barnard, who has one goal in his 26 appearances this season, could be given a chance by Reds boss Mark Yates.

Defender Lanre Oyebanjo was back in the team last week following injury, but midfielder Jimmy Smith (ankle) remains on the sidelines.
