Moore missing for Dons AFC Wimbledon will be without Sammy Moore when they host Bristol Rovers. The stand-in captain suffered a knee injury 20 minutes into his return from an ankle problem as the Dons drew with Fleetwood at the weekend. The extent of the injury will be assessed during the week but he will not feature as the Dons look to end a four-game losing run at home. Rashid Yussuff is expected to replace Moore in the starting XI after impressing from the bench against the Cod Army. Boss Neal Ardley remains without quartet Mat Mitchel-King, Dale Bennett, Pim Balkestein and Callum McNaughton. Mitchel-King and McNaughton both returned to full training this week but will not be risked. Bennett and Balkestein remain sidelined but are expected to be available in the next few weeks. Bristol Rovers' visit to Kingsmeadow comes too soon for injured trio Derek Riordan, Danny Woodards and Shaquille Hunter. Former Hibernian forward Riordan is targeting Saturday's clash with Accrington for a return to action, youngster Hunter has stepped up his recovery but is lacking match fitness while Woodards, a long-term injury absentee with a broken leg, is a few weeks away from a first team return. Midfielder Matt Gill remains sidelined which means striker David Clarkson, in the side because of the captain's absence, is expected to continue in an unfamiliar midfield role after impressing in Saturday's 3-2 victory against Torquay. "I didn't expect to have to play him where we are at the moment, but once it was forced on us I knew he would do a decent job," manager Mark McGhee told the Bristol Evening Post. "Actually, he has done better than I could have hoped for."
