Shaun Miller scores stunner as Morecambe storm to victory

A stunning Shaun Miller strike stole the show as Morecambe recorded their second straight away victory with a dominant 5-2 defeat of AFC Wimbledon at Kingsmeadow.

Alan Goodall, Tom Barkhuizen and Paul Mullin were all on target for the Shrimps, with Miller also scoring from the spot to hand Wimbledon a fourth home defeat of the season.

The Dons had gone ahead after just two minutes when Andy Barcham linked well with Lyle Taylor and then curled a measured finish into the bottom corner.

Adebayo Akinfenwa then headed over from Jake Reeves' corner before Miller scored the first of his two goals from the spot after he was fouled by Semi Ajayi on eight minutes.

His second, four minutes later, was special. Latching on to Barkhuizen's chest down, Miller smashed a volley past a helpless James Shea from all of 35 yards.

Goodall headed the third just before half-time. and though Akinfenwa clawed a goal back from a George Francomb corner after the break and Dannie Bulman went close, Barkhuizen's measured lob and Mullin's late strike finished things off.
