Super sub Hylton sinks Pools

Danny Hylton climbed off the bench to score the winner on his debut as AFC Wimbledon came from behind to beat Hartlepool 2-1 in League Two.

Pools took the lead just before the break when Luke James headed in but the Dons equalised after 74 minutes through Will Antwi's looping header.

And before the visitors could react, the Dons struck again with Hylton, signed on loan from Rotherham, drilling the ball home to win it.

Hartlepool controlled much of the first half and took the lead one minute before the break when Luke Williams' cross was headed down by Andy Monkhouse and James supplied the finishing touch.

The Dons sent on new signing Hylton at the break and the striker almost made an instant impact, feeding fellow substitute Charlie Wyke whose shot was blocked.

The hosts equalised when Antwi's header from a Sammy Moore free-kick evaded goalkeeper Scott Flinders.

And it was 2-1 two minutes later when debutant Hylton controlled the ball on his chest, turned and fired a low shot into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the box to secure back-to-back wins for the Dons.
