AFC Wimbledon 1-1 Barnet: Match Report

Dons and Bees share spoils

AFC Wimbledon midfielder Sammy Moore smashed a second-half equaliser to salvage the Dons a 1-1 draw with Barnet and extend the struggling Bees' winless run to four games.

Former MK Dons striker Izale McLeod had fired Barnet ahead in first-half stoppage time - to the frustration of the Kingsmeadow faithful - when he headed in Danny Senda's cross.

Moore levelled just after the hour mark before McLeod wasted a glorious chance to consign last weekend's 6-3 hammering by Burton to the history books y firing over late on.

McLeod served an early warning of his talents when he weaved through the Dons' defence only to run the ball out before Jack Midson responded by stinging Bees goalkeeper Dean Brill's palms.

Barnet took the lead in first-half injury-time when Senda whipped in a pin-point cross and the unmarked McLead nodded home from close range.

Wimbledon got their deserved equaliser after 63 minutes when Luke Moore threaded a delightful through ball for his namesake Sammy to hammer past Brill from 10 yards, before McLeod blazed a glorious chance over the bar.
