Coasters sweat on Dorney

AFC Fylde manager Dave Challinor will give a late fitness test to Jack Dorney ahead of their FA Cup first-round tie against Accrington.

The midfielder picked up an injury in Tuesday's FA Trophy second-round replay victory over Nantwich Town but could recover in time to face the League Two outfit.

The Coasters will also be missing the suspended Bradley Barnes but Challinor has an otherwise full squad to pick from.

The clash will see Fylde take part in the first round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history.

Challinor the FA's official website: "The club has come a long way in a short period of time, hopefully we will get a big crowd.

"We're at home but we need to be at our best. We're under no illusions that Accrington are a full-time team in a full-time league but anything can happen."

Leam Richardson has no new injury worries for his first game since being confirmed as Accrington's new manager.

Richardson took caretaker charge of Stanley for last week's npower League Two trip to Bristol Rovers following Paul Cook's exit to Chesterfield and Padraig Amond's seventh goal of the season secured a 1-0 victory, ending a sequence of four straight defeats.

Charlie Barnett has returned to training following an ankle injury but is unlikely to feature. The midfielder has an outside chance of a place on the bench.

Rob Atkinson has been cleared to play in the cup by parent club Fleetwood.

Stanley have been granted permission by the respective parent clubs to play all of their loan players for the clash, however Rotherham midfielder Danny Schofield is expected to miss out through injury.
