SWINDON Town manager Danny Wilson has confirmed his interest in Charlie Austin after handing the Poole Town prospect a trial. Dolphins striker Austin linked up with the Wiltshire outfit on Monday and grasped the opportunity to impress when scoring for their reserve team in a 1-1 draw against Swansea City yesterday. Speaking ahead of the game, Robins boss Wilson revealed: Charlie is someone we have had watched a few times and we know that he has been in this area before. He may have a little bit of a chance because he has a fantastic goalscoring record. Speaking to Swindon Towns official website, he added: Some players are late developers and we certainly like the look of him. He has good feet and links up play well. If he can step up in the reserves then we will take another look at him. You tend to find that goalscorers can score goals at most levels. Austin, whose goals fired Poole to the Wessex Premier Division title last term, spent the summer training with Cherries, but Eddie Howe is currently unable to sign players because of the clubs ongoing transfer embargo.
