Wiggins again misses out

Bournemouth are set to be without left-back Rhoys Wiggins for the visit of Tranmere to Dean Court. Wiggins sustained a calf injury in last weekend's 3-3 draw at Peterborough. Stephen Purches deputised for Wiggins during Tuesday's loss to Bristol Rovers, and he will battle it out with Warren Cummings for a place in Lee Bradbury's starting line-up. Michael Symes will once again be subject to a late fitness test on his adductor injury. The Cherries' medical team are also monitoring the fitness of back-up goalkeeper Jon Stewart, who is suffering from a lower back problem. Stewart failed to make the bench in midweek, and if his condition has not improved, Bournemouth may turn to rookie stopper Dan Thomas, who is currently on loan at Dorchester. His deal contains a 24-hour recall clause.
