We were off pace - Bradbury

Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury agreed his goalkeeper Shwan Jalal deservedly won the man-of-the-match award after his side's 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Dean Court. Jalal made a number of fine saves as the Owls had the best of the chances but the Cherries, who remain in a League One automatic promotion place, could have won it but Michael Symes missed a second-half spot-kick. Bradbury said: "We were off the pace in the first half, but turned up after half-time and had chances to win the game, particularly from the penalty Michael Symes missed. "But our goalkeeper had a great game and made a string of fine saves. He was named player of the month (for January) beforehand and was named man of the match after and that says it all." On Symes' penalty miss, he added: "I told Michael Symes not to worry about his penalty miss and just score the next one. He's scored in our past three matches and got us points. His confidence is still high. "With all the other teams around us drawing, there was a good opportunity for us to pull away a bit, but we're still very much in the mix at the top."
