We matched Fulham - Cherries boss

The Cherries, who have been unable to sign any players this summer as a result of a transfer embargo, held Roy Hodgson's side to a 0-0 draw at Dean Court. The result was even more credible as Fulham fielded their strongest available side, and Howe was more than happy with the way his players acquitted themselves. "I was slightly disappointed in the first half because I felt we could have kept the ball better but I was very pleased with the improved second half display and I thought we were excellent," he told his club's official website. "We gave as good as we got and although they probably had the better chances, there wasn't a lot in it. "We can take a lot of pride from how we battled, kept plugging away and in the end got a good result."
