We Got The Right Result - Howe

Eddie Howe speaks about the win which keeps the Cherries on the edge of the play-off pack.

Following the 2-1 away win at Scunthorpe United over the weekend, manager Eddie Howe was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I was very pleased with the victory because I knew it was going to be a difficult game. It was a very heavy pitch and wasn’t conducive to good football but I thought we did our best in terms of trying to play the right way and play how we always do. We got the two-goal lead, which we would love to have made three and killed the game, but we didn’t. I thought we were seeing out the game in a comfortable manner and there were a couple of decisions I found baffling. I thought the first one hit Tommy’s chest and was nowhere near his arm. I felt it was really unjust, especially when we had just scored. It could have had a huge bearing on the game but, thankfully, our goalkeeper made a great save".
