We Can Get Better - Howe

Manager Eddie Howe insists that the best has yet to come from the Cherries since his return to Dean Court.

With the unbeaten run now extended to 12 league and cup matches since Eddie and Jason returned to Dean Court, the manager has insisted that the best has yet to be seen from his squad.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Eddie Howe is quoted as saying: "I don’t think we are the real deal yet in terms of the end product. I don’t think we have got all our departments working quite how we want them but we are certainly well on the way and the results speak volumes for that. I could not have wished for a better start. But that is all it is. We have had a great run of 12 games, we have moved up the table, we are closing in on the teams above us but we have still got a long way to go. The character of the players has been very impressive and so has the mentality they are developing. I still think we can get better and that is what we must strive to do. You are looking for perfection all the time. I am looking for total dominance. Whether we have finances behind us or not, that is what we are after and I don’t think we are there. That is not a criticism but we still have work to do. We will look to get better every day. Maybe we will never hit that perfection because I don’t think it exists. But you have got to keep striving for it. We want to go to every ground in League One believing we are going to win. It is a psychological barrier and there is confidence within the camp that, hopefully, we can do that. We are developing that arrogance. You want it in a nice and controlled way but you need that belief to be successful and, hopefully, we are developing it".
