We Are Not Scared Of Anyone - O'Kane

Eunan O'Kane speaks about the need for an FA Cup replay against Premierhsip Wigan Athletic next week.

Even though O'Kane produced a stunning strike to put the Cherries ahead just before the half time break at the DW Stadium, a lead which was cancelled out in the second period, the summer signing from Torquay United is determined to show that the performance was no fluke.

O'Kane is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "After the performance we gave, you have got to fancy our chances. I don’t think Dean Court is a very nice place for a Premier League side to have to come. We can, hopefully, make things as difficult as we possibly can for them. They are going to have to come down there and give a very good account of themselves to walk away with a win. At the minute, everyone is very confident and we are not scared of anyone so you can throw whoever you want at us. The manager said to us during the week that he didn’t want us to come here and just park the bus. He said, at times, we were going to have our backs against the wall at a Premier League club. But, at times, we showed that we can play football and that we weren’t scared to come here and do it. We managed to get ourselves up the pitch and it wasn’t by lumping it – it was very controlled at times. I think everyone involved in the club has got to take huge confidence from that. Hopefully, we can do that in our league games and pick up a lot more points".
