Here's the round up of the mid week action around League Two. AFC Bournemouth took advantage of Rochdale's mid-week off as they beat promotion rivals Notts County at Dean Court to claim their 9th home win of the season. A Hollands brace in the 2nd and 35th minutes was only met with a 50th minute response from Bishop as the Cherries cemented their claim to an automatic promotion place. AFC Bournemouth 2nd, Notts County 7th. Bury maintained the pressure with a 2-1 win over Macclesfield at Gigg Lane. Butcher had given the Silkmen a 26th minute lead, which lasted all of 3 minutes when the home side levelled from the penalty spot through Lowe. Bishop claimed the win with the winner in the 79th minute. Bury 3rd, Macclesfield 19th. Rotherham United got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge at The Don Valley Stadium. Le Fondre netted a brace in the 11th and 35th minutes to claim the points, but remain 6 points off automatic promotion. Rotherham United 4th, Dagenham & Redbridge 12th. Shrewsbury Town claimed their 7th home win of the season as Barnet slipped to their 11th defeat on the road as Disley (12th minute) and Leslie (28th minutes) made sure that the points were staying in Shropshire to maintain the home sides claim for at least a play-off place. Shrewsbury Town 5th, Barnet 18th. Chesterfield laid claim to a play-off place themselves with a 2-1 win over Port Vale at Vale Park, their 4th win on the road this season. Downes gave the Spirites the lead in the 10th minute, with Green doubling the advantage in the 31st minute. Davies pulled one back just after the restart, but it wasn't enough for the home side to salvage a point. Port Vale 14th, Chesterfield 6th. After a bad start to the season, Northampton Town are closing in on the play-off places, more so after an emphatic 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley at Sixfields. Akinfenwa got the home side off the mark in the 10th minute, which was added to by a 9-minute second half blitz as Mckay netted a brace in the 57th and 61st minutes, and Guttridge in the 66th minute. Northampton Town 8th, Accrington Stanley 10th. Burton Albion are hot on the heels of the play-off place, if they can maintain some consistency. They managed a single goal win over hapless Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road as Harrad netted the only goal of the game in the 7th minute, leaving Cheltenham looking over their shoulders wondering if the bottom 2 are going to get their act together. Cheltenham Town 22nd, Burton Albion 9th. In a game Darlington simply had to win and Lincoln City not to loose, it was honours even at the Arena as both sides cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw. Dempsey gave the home side the lead in the 37th minute, but the home side were cruelly denied a vital 3 points as Hone levelled in the 97th minute! Darlington 24th, Lincoln City 20th.
