Here's the round up of the weekend action around League Two as the promotion matters are settled. Notts County will have to wait a little while longer before being crowned Champions, as they slipped up against Port Vale at Vale Park. Richards gave Vale the lead in the 20th minute, with Lee levelling for County 5 minutes later. Vale, with a play-off place in their sights, claimed the points when Taylor scored what proved to be the winner in the 30th minute. The result sees Vale slip in to the play-off places for the first time this season. Port Vale 7th, Notts County 1st. Rochdale slipped to their 7th defeat on the road this season, as Hereford United claimed the points at Edgar Street. King and Valentine gave the Bulls a 2-goal lead with strikes in the 52nd and 61st minutes, with Jones pulling one back in the 62nd minute. Hereford United 15th, Rochdale 2nd. Congratulations to AFC Bournemouth who claimed the 3rd automatic promotion place with a 2-0 win over Burton Albion at The Pirelli Stadium. Pitman and Connell put the seal on a memorable season with goals in the 66th and 90th minutes to book a place in League One. Burton Albion 13th, AFC Bournemouth 3rd. Rotherham United will not have to make do with the play-offs, even though they managed to claim a single goal win over Barnet at Underhill. Ellison scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minute for the Millers. The result leaves Barnet looking nervously looking over their shoulders. Barnet 22nd, Rotherham United 4th. Aldershot Town, along with a clutch of other clubs, still have some work to do to guarantee their place in the end of season play-offs. They did help their cause though with a 2-1 away win over Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road. A Richards penalty gave the Robins the lead in the 14th minute, before Donelly levelling from the penalty spot 3 minutes after the restart. The winner came on the stroke of full time when Morgan fired home the winner. Cheltenham Town 21st, Aldershot Town 5th. Bury didn't help their cause in the race for the play-offs by slipping up 1-0 to Lincoln City at Sincil Bank. Somma scored the only goal of the game in the 80th minute. Lincoln City 20th, Bury 6th. Morecambe are just outside the play-off picture, on goal difference, as they managed to see off play-off rivals Dagenham & Redbridge at Livingstone Road as Moss scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute to seal a vital victory. Morecambe 8th, Dagenham & Redbridge 11th. Chesterfield are also just outside the play-off places, also on goal difference, but it could have been different if they could have held on to victory against Bradford City at Saltergate. Demontagnac gave the Spirites the lead in the 52nd minute, only to see Evans level in the 75th minute. Chesterfield 9th, Bradford City 14th. Northampton Town are also still in with a shout of making the play-offs following a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury Town at Sixfields. McKay (54th min) and Thornton (82nd min) gave the Cobblers 3 all important points, leaving them a point off a play-off place. Northampton Town 10th, Shrewsbury Town 12th. Crewe Alexandra managed to arrest their recent slump, while adding more woe for Accrington Stanley at Gresty Road. Zola (5th & 92nd mins), Donaldson (62nd min), Westwood (70th min) and Grant (81st min) saw off Stanley. Brayford was generous enough to put past his own keeper in the 65th minute to score Stanley's consolation. Crewe Alexandra 16th, Accrington Stanley 17th. Torquay United continued their mini-revival with a single goal win over Macclesfield at Plainmoor. Wroe scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute. Torquay United 18th, Macclesfield 19th. Grimsby Town live to fight another day in their bid to avoid the drop to the Conference as they mnanaged to claim their 5th away of the season against already relegated Darlington at The Arena. Lancashire gave the Mariners the lead in the 20th minute, with Akpa Akpro securing the win in the 3rd minute of first half stoppage time. The win leaves Grimsby Town 4-points off safety with two matches left ..... their next game is crucial against Barnet next weekend! Darlington 24th, Grimsby Town 23rd.
