It was speculated last season, but it didn't happen, but Matt Tubbs has left Dean Court, albeit on loan for 6 months, to join Rotherham United and to resume ties with former manager Steve Evans, who has long been an admirer of the Cherries striker since he was plucked from Crawley Town.
The loan period expires at the end of the January transfer window.
This loan move prepares the ground for the Cherries to (potentially) bring in a striker ahead of the new Championship season.
