With almost 30-goals to his name this season, Brett Pitman is shrugging off any speculation of a transfer away from Dean Court, being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I’ve always said I can’t affect what’s going on off the pitch. By doing well on the pitch, if people start writing about me, it means I’m doing something right, so it’s nice to read. But it doesn’t affect me because a lot of it is just made-up speculation, I’d imagine. Yeah, I’m happy to stay here, I’ve always said that. If anything else happens, it’s out of my hands. Everyone has done well and it’s been a real team effort. I don’t think there have been any individuals who have carried us through. We’ll all have a nice summer and then come back and work hard like we did in the last pre-season".
