Tindall poised for bench duty

Howe has been unable to add to an already decimated squad this summer due to a transfer embargo placed on the club, so 37-year-old Jason Tindall is to come out of retirement to boost the numbers. The former midfielder, who made two appearances for the Cherries last season, will help plug the gaps created by a number of injuries the squad have picked up during the summer. Captain Shaun Cooper underwent hip surgery during pre-season and will be out for six months while his replacement, Danny Hollands, has been ruled out for a month after a knee operation. Jason Pearce will lead the side in their absence but Howe will also be without Jeff Goulding who has a dead leg, although Alan Connell (knee) and Scott Guyett (shoulder) could make surprise returns. Steve Hutchings has left the club to join Havant & Waterlooville and Kurt Broadhurst has moved on to Crawley as the club were unable to offer both of them terms. Midfielder Marvyn Bartley is expected to be involved despite not being 100% fit.
