Striker backs young gun Hutchings

Hutchings, 18, was handed a three-month contract by boss Eddie Howe 11 days ago after impressing in the club's reserve side during the 2008/09 campaign. And Fletcher, who turns 37 next month, believes Hutchings has the ability to reach the top. "I haven't seen him in a game situation but he's got half a chance from what I've seen of him in training," Fletcher told the Bournemouth Daily Echo. "He's got all the attributes and Eddie likes the young players and wants to bring them through. At a club like ours, you need people like him coming through because there's no money to buy anyone. "He's got a great opportunity because he's got the backing of the manager - that's a huge positive for the boy - and it's in his own hands."
