Cherries legend Ted MacDougall joins the chorus of voices advising Danny Ings to stay at Dean Court. With a string of Clubs following his progress, Danny Ings is the latest piece of hot property at Dean Court, but has Ted MacDougall's advise ringing in his ears about a potential move. SuperMac is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I think he has got to learn his trade. He is still only young and is at a terrific club. He just needs to relax and everything else will fall into place. You don’t have to chase the money or the dream because they will come to you. You just need to keep doing the right things on the pitch. It is very difficult for young people not to see the riches and rewards. They see the big cars and big houses and think ‘that could be me’. When I was coaching at Portsmouth, I used to ask the lads if they did the lottery. I told them that if they had a good season, they could win the lottery in football terms, especially if they were strikers. If scoring goals is your job then do it. I didn’t really care about playing well, I just wanted to score. My job was to provide the end product for the hard work of my team-mates".
