Smith banned for Cherries

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is without defender Adam Smith for the trip to Notts County. Smith picked up his fifth booking of the season in the 1-0 defeat to Hartlepool and as a result will serve a one-match ban. Stephen Purches is likely to replace him for the FA Cup second-round tie. Defender Harry Arter is rated doubtful after he limped off in Saturday's defeat with a knee injury while Marvin Bartley, even though he was on the bench at the weekend, has been struggling with a niggling thigh problem. Midfielder Liam Feeney is fit while striker Michael Symes is carrying a knock but has a good chance of starting at Meadow Lane. Striker Danny Ings is cup-tied after playing in the earlier rounds for Dorchester.
