Speaking after the match, Danny Wilson, was quoted as saying on the win: "We knew we'd have to work hard to get anything from the game today, and we did that. I thought we were strong from the first minute and we defended well. I know the two goals were own goals, but that was down to the quality of the balls played and I don't think the defenders could have done anything about it. If the defenders didn't put the ball in, then an attacker would, so there was no luck about them. Bournemouth came in on the back of a fantastic win at Huddersfield and it was always going to be important to work hard and keep them at bay, and I think we did that. We showed them the utmost respect because there reputation went before them. There are some good players at Bournemouth and I'm sure that they will still do very well this season".
