Seven for Lambert? Make mine a lamb bhuna...

I MUST admit, I am quite worried about tomorrow. Surrounded by Southampton-supporting mates, the past few weeks have been fairly difficult for me.[LNB] Unlike most, two of my closest friends have not yet disowned the Saints. Both lifelong fans, they started supporting them again just before last season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley.[LNB] They also started going back to St Mary's just as Saints were mounting their ultimately-failed attempt to reach the play-offs.[LNB] I know, because they have told me, that I am extremely fortunate to have the privilege of a press pass for Cherries' cup final at the coliseum.[LNB] Following Bournemouth, you have probably never been treated to Premier League press facilities in a Premier League stadium, they have told me.[LNB] Other friends have been more pointed.[LNB] I don't know why your lot are coming back so soon. We've already beaten you once this season, said one.[LNB] Another keeps banging on about playing the game at Saints' training ground because Cherries haven't got many fans. He asked if the five cars heading up the A31 were all expected to be full.[LNB] He also said that having had a 10-point deduction last season, Saints were delighted to be starting this season with a six-point advantage as they would be playing Cherries twice.[LNB] He also bet me a curry that Rickie Lambert would score seven goals against Cherries this season. He only needs another seven.[LNB] Apparently, Cherries had to beat Exeter on Tuesday because they would not be getting any points in October, not least in their first game.[LNB] Now, perhaps, you can see why I am worried.[LNB] It is because anything less than a convincing home win tomorrow and my Southampton-supporting mates would never live it down.[LNB]
