Matt Ritchie has mad an instant impression coming to Dean Court on boss Eddie Howe.

At Stadium:Franchise, Matt Ritchie unexpectedly made his debut at left back, coming on for Tommy Elphick who was the victim of an appauling assault by the thug Ryan Lowe, and instantly made an impact down the left hand side of the pitch.

As far as covering there while Charlie Daniels is out of action, manager Eddie Howe was quoted as saying on his January signing in the Bournemouth Evening Echo: "He is technically excellent so, with the ball, I have absolutely no worries. In fact, he did very well there, technically, going forward. I thought he did excellently and he showed a really good attitude. It was not really the debut I wanted to give him, playing in that position. His best position is wide but he did well. That was one of the reasons we brought him in – that he can play there. With Charlie out, he did really well for us".
