Having featured in just two first-team matches during a difficult campaign, there were doubts over Pryce's future with his contract set to expire. But he was delighted to be offered a new one-year deal when he held talks with Cherries boss Eddie Howe at the end of the season. "Eddie told me he wanted to keep me and it didn't take long to decide because I wanted to stay and there was no chance of me turning it down," Pryce told the Bournemouth Echo. "I went into the meeting with mixed feelings because I didn't know whether Eddie would take a gamble on me staying because I didn't play that much last season. "I hadn't showed him what I could do, but the thing on my side was that Eddie was here the season before and he'd seen then what I could do. Hopefully that was a bit of an advantage and helped him make his decision."
