Pitman brace puts Cherries on top

It did not look to be Pitman's day when in the 10th minute he saw his low penalty athletically clawed away by Macclesfield goalkeeper Jon Brain after Lee Bell had handled in the box.[LNB]And the home side took the lead against the run of play in the 35th minute when teenage centre-back Shaun Brisley stuck out his right foot to send a speculative volley from the edge of the box over the stranded Shawn Jalal.[LNB]But Pitman equalised on the stroke of half-time with a stunning left-footed volley through a group of players from 18 yards.[LNB]John Rooney had a chance to put Macclesfield back in front after 51 minutes but with an open goal begging, he hesitated and saw the chance lost.[LNB]And Pitman sealed the points after 78 minutes with a glancing header that dipped under Brain's despairing dive to convert a Wayne Cummings cross.[LNB][LNB]
