Pearce has taken over from Danny Hollands as skipper at Dean Court and the defender is determined to inspire his side to victory against the Shakers after a disappointing defeat against Northampton last time out.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "It's really nice to be given the role and it's something I took straight away because I really enjoyed it when I was captain before.[LNB]"It's a great honour for me and a role I just can't wait to start and I feel I'm ready for the role. I've had some really good feedback from the lads and they have given me a lot of support, which is good.[LNB]"It's a good thing for me and I can't wait for Saturday. It's a massive game for us after the disappointment of the last game against Northampton and it's important that we start well.[LNB]"We did well at their place and that will give us confidence. It's important that we start well and if we can do that, we know what we're capable of."[LNB][LNB]
