Pearce Move Off?

Could the transfer of Jason Pearce to Peterborough United be off the rails? There's some confusion as to whether skipper Jason Pearce could be on his way to London Road to sign for Peterborough United. First it seems that Peterborough United have offered £500,000 for the Cherries skipper, which Eddie Mitchell was seemingly happy to accept, until that is, a clause was spotted in the transfer documents which brought Pearce to Dean Court from Fratton Park stating that there's a 50% sell on clause for the player! Cherries Chairman, Eddie Mitchell, is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We spoke to Portsmouth and they said what reason would they have to reduce it. They were not interested in changing it. It is no great hardship to us. If Portsmouth were to come back and say they would change this or that then maybe it might be rekindled. But people have got to remember that Jason wasn’t put up for sale and he would be the last player we would want to sell". In a move that would have probably seen Pearce go, it appears that AFCB have tried to persuade Portsmouth to move their position regarding the 50% sell on clause, but have reportedly refused to do so. Deal off? Watch this space!
