Pearce excited by Saints clash

Bournemouth captain Jason Pearce is eagerly anticipating Saturday's `massive' derby clash at Southampton, but insists his side will treat it as just another game. The Cherries have acclimatised brilliantly to life in npower League One, moving to second in the table after a string of impressive performances. But Pearce is all too aware of the challenge the Dean Court outfit face ahead of their first league meeting with the Saints in 50 years. He told the club's official website: "No matter what way you look at it, it's a massive game and one we're relishing after two great results. We've played their once this season (losing 2-0 in the Carling Cup), so we know what to expect. "We know what this game means to supporters and I know how big the expectation is and how everyone wants us to win, but we will prepare and approach the game like any other and everyone will give 100% and work hard as a team. "We have to go there and respect them because they are a good team and a big club, but we can't fear them. We are going there to give a really good account of ourselves. I feel we're ready to be challenging at this level because as a team we have come on a lot."
